The storks have flown away. The nest, which teemed with life for many months, now remains empty. The journey has begun....
The last days storks spent alternately – once on the chimney, once in the nest. Although departure time is near, they still spend nights in their nest, resting before the long journey....
The storks moved to a nearby chimney to spend time grooming. This is an important part of their daily routine, keeping their plumage in good condition....
After turbulent days, two storks are seen in the nest again. They spend the night together, resting in silence....
A few days after the dramatic events when a foreign stork threw out an egg, Przepiórek stands alone in the nest. A downpour is passing over Trzciniec, raindrops flowing down his feathers....
In the afternoon, a stork with rings appeared in the nest and threw out one of the eggs. It stayed there for over half an hour before flying away, leaving the nest empty. Unfortunately, our pair will not have offspring this season....
The nest remains empty, and Przepiórek and Trzcinka spend time in the field. Unfortunately, the long cooling means the brood likely has no chance of success....
Our joy didn't last long – Trzcinka is increasingly leaving the nest, leaving Przepiórek alone. Eventually, he also had to leave, most likely out of hunger or thirst. It is unknown if the eggs will withstand such long airing....
Incubating eggs is a demanding task, so the stork stands up occasionally to stretch its legs and improve the arrangement of the eggs. Although the eggs are not visible, we can observe the parents' careful care of the nest....
Trzcinka has laid eggs! She was seen carefully improving the lining and gently rolling at least two eggs. Przepiórek and Trzcinka officially begin a new stage – now shared incubation and care for the future offspring await them....
Despite the difficulties, our storks have their first eggs. Although their number remains a mystery, the birds' behavior clearly indicates that the hollow in the nest is no longer empty....
Trzcinka is spending more time in the nest, and her behavior suggests coming changes. She is preparing the hollow, although for now she is only trying it out. When Przepiórek returns, she greets him exceptionally warmly. Does this mean the first egg is close?...
Przepiórek and Trzcinka again had to defend their nest. An intruder tried to disturb their peace, but together they successfully drove it away. The stork pair watches over their home....
After previous tensions, peace has returned to the nest. Przepiórek and Trzcinka seem to have reached an agreement, and the male may have even "apologized" to his partner for his behavior. When he flew off for morning hunts, she stayed in the nest and took care of the hollow – perhaps the first egg will appear soon?...
For unclear reasons, Przepiórek attacked Trzcinka, forcing her to leave the nest. After some time, the female returned, and the situation seems to have calmed down. However, it is not known if this is the definitive end of these unexpected tensions....
Trzcinka appeared in the nest and devoted time to thorough feather care. Storks regularly clean their plumage, removing dirt and arranging feathers to be ready for flight. This is an important ritual that helps them stay in good condition....
Our new pair, though late, is still trying for offspring. The chances for a successful brood are small, but the important thing is that the pair has bonded and can work together on the nest....
Unfortunately, the previous partner left Przepiórek and forced him to spend the rest of the month alone. Now a new female has appeared, so we will see if the season still has a chance of success....
Przepiórek is still waiting for a partner and uses the waiting time to improve the nest. He brings new twigs and lays them carefully – everything must be ready for the new season....
Przepiórek spends time alone in the nest, looking for a new partner. The previous female left him, but maybe not all is lost....
After a long wait, Przepiórek finally has his partner back. Although strong winds hindered their efforts for offspring, they didn't give up – and they succeeded! Soon we can expect the first egg, although it most likely won't be visible on camera....
In recent days, the nest has been visited by passing storks, but none stayed for long. Today that changed – after a long wait, Przepiórek has returned! Now we can follow his daily life and look out for his partner's arrival....
Once again a stork checked into the nest for a rest. A sign that the migration season is in full swing....
This morning a stork appeared in the nest, but it wasn't one of our hosts. It stopped for a moment to rest during its migration....
With the arrival of March, we are observing the arrival of the first Polish storks. Soon we can expect the arrival of Przepiórek, followed immediately by Trzcinka. By the end of the month, our camera should be mounted on a higher, stable frame, allowing for more precise observation of these beautiful birds. I also encourage visitors to register on our new forum in the "Forum" tab....
