April 12th brought an improvement in the weather – the snow disappeared, the temperature rose, and the storks could spend a peaceful day. They foraged in the field, appeared in the nest, and brought material for its expansion. In the evening, however, it became restless. A stork appeared on the lamp where the nest was previously located. Przepiórek flew to a neighboring lamp, but after a moment returned to the nest. An unknown female also flew after him and landed beside him, which triggered an immediate reaction from Trzcinka. Scuffles occurred – Trzcinka grabbed the other female by the wing, but there were no serious injuries. Both females left the nest. Przepiórek stayed and tried to deter the intruder with a loud clatter. Shortly after, Trzcinka joined him, and although the evening was nervous for a moment longer, peace eventually prevailed.
