In May, great news emerged regarding the tenth egg that was successfully rescued in one of the operations. The X-ray at the time confirmed the proper development of the embryo, which gave great hope, as it was the only chance for this year's clutch in our nest. The plan assumed that after hatching and reaching the age of about three weeks, the chick would be placed with new parents at the 'Szansa dla Bociana' rehabilitation center in Kozubszczyzna, so that under the watchful eye of a stork pair and Mr. Kamil, it could undergo further stages of growing up.
Unfortunately, despite initial good prognoses and proper development, nothing ultimately hatched from the egg. For unknown reasons, the embryo died at some point, which completely dashed the hopes for this year's offspring.
