Today began peacefully – the morning and forenoon were marked by sun and routine stork activities. Przepiórek and Trzcinka as usual brought fresh material to the nest, fed and watered the three stork chicks. In the afternoon, however, something completely unexpected happened – two young, foreign storks flew into the nest. They immediately began to demand food, grabbing the adult by the beak as if they had belonged to this family forever.
The guests appeared and flew away several times – as if they could not decide whether they were staying for longer. Finally, they even caught one of the meals, to the surprise of the observers. After the last departure, they did not return to the nest. This was certainly one of those moments that remind us that stork life can be full of surprises – and its daily observation can be truly engaging.
